Highlights: Choose the Well built XT250-GK with confidence. It has all the features that you are looking for to ensure years of fun for your children. It is designed to look good and last for years! The size, strength of steel and multiple safety features makes this unit the perfect gift for ages 12 and up.
Better than the competition's go-karts: Some features that make our gokart better than the competition's 150cc go-kart are: Our go-kart is bigger (ours is 98" x 59" x 60" and theirs is 89 x 54 x 53), our seats are wider for more room, the front tires are bigger (21" vs. 19"), we have a double width chain for more strength while they have a single width chain (1.5"vs. 0.75"), thicker (stronger) spring shocks, we have a more beautiful full featured front dash panel, we have a trailer hitch and they do not, we have side view mirrors and theirs do not, ours has an aluminum radiator (rust free) and theirs is steel and our engine performs much better.
Engine: 250cc 4-Stroke, LIQUID COOLED. This gas engine has parts interchangeable with Honda's and this exact engine design has been around for many years. Its a high quality 4-stroke motorcycle engine and it's not like the little simple lawn mower engines found in cheaper go-karts. The 250cc are WATER COOLED with a radiator just like your car. The 150cc and smaller engines are air cooled which is not as efficient. Very quiet, neighborhood friendly.
For Ages: It is usually bought for adults and kids over the age of 12 (depending on leg length). Please read below for distances to the pedals.
Transmission: Fully Automatic CVT with Reverse. No shifting required of any kind. This makes it convenient for everyone including friends whom want to use it. Just push the gas pedal and go.
Deluxe Dashboard features: speedometer gauge, WATER TEMPORATURE GAUGE, lighter port, engine kill switch, horn, ignition key start, headlight switch. Neither gauge is available on the competition's go-karts.
Foot Pedals: You have two foot pedals. Gas pedal and brake pedal. Very easy.
Maximum Speed: 50 mph
Starter: Keyed electric start. No pull start.
Live rear axle: Which means both rear tires drive at all times. If you hit a bump and one tire comes off the ground slightly the other tire is still driving forward.
Suspension: Full suspension for a smoother ride
Front suspension: Independent Dual swing arms with dual heavy duty coil spring shocks. Spring shocks are much thicker than the competition's. Our front shocks have a diameter of 2.75" and theirs is 2.25"
Rear Shocks: Dual swing arms with dual heavy duty coil spring shocks. Spring shocks are much thicker than the competition's. Our front shocks have a diameter of 3.00" and theirs is 2.40"
Steering: Rack and Pinion Steering makes is so easy to steer for any age. Any child can easily turn these units with almost no effort. An adult can turn the unit using only their thumb and two fingers.
Brakes:
Tires:
Front: 21" x 7" x 10" (outer diameter x width x inside diameter). Much bigger than our competition's which only has 19" tires in the front.
Rear: 22" x 11" x 10" (outer diameter x width x inside diameter).
Fuel: Regular unleaded gasoline - no need to mix oil with gas.
Fuel Capacity: 2 gallons
Lubrication: The unit comes already filled with engine oil. It uses ATV 10w30 or ATV 10w40 available at your local auto part store.
Exhaust: Chrome covered heavy duty muffler. Neighborhood friendly.
Good gauge frame: Our go karts are made from 11 gauge steel. Many manufacturers use thinner 14-16 gauge steel (higher number is thinner) and some even use 18 gauge steel.
Frame welding: Jig welded for accuracy. Other manufacturers use spot welding.
Finish: Baked on Polyurethane powder coat. It doesn't come off. Cheaper go-karts are painted, which easily chips off with time.
Dimensions: From front grill to back of the back basket is 98" x 59" x 60" (L x W x H). You can get this unit in the back of a 8'=96" pickup truck bed because the basket can hang over the tailgate. The unit is only 93" long from trailer hitch to front grill, so it fits.
Wheel Base: 62" (distance from front axle to rear axle)
Distance to Pedals: From the back of the seat to the gas pedal measures an adjustable 39 to 42 inches (Seat moves forward and backward 2.5 inches). Have your child sit down and measure the distance from his rear end to the tip of his extended toes. Have him tilt his foot forward as you measure it. Compare this length to the 39 to 42 inches to the gas pedal shown above. Remember your child can bend his leg just as you do when driving your car.
Inside Width across 2 seats: 34" You will see that this unit is very comfortable for 2 full sized adults to ride in.
Bucket Seats: Fully adjustable , fully padded, independent bucket seats. These sport seats are Two-tone colored to match the frame color. Most cheaper go karts have black bench seats to save on manufacturing cost. Seat Back is 32" high. Distance from the top of seat to the go-kart's top cover (head room) is 38.5".
Safety Feature 1: Speed Limiting Governor-an adjustable vertical bolt/nut is mounted behind the gas pedal to limit how far forward you can push the gas pedal. You can slow your child down to 4 mph if you want to, or allow him to push the gas pedal all the way forward for 50 mph or anywhere in-between. Your choice.
Safety Feature 2: Top foam padded brush bars with nylon covering. They protect you from tree limbs.
Safety Feature 3: Seat Belts: 4-point seat belts. Two of the straps come down over your shoulders.
Safety Feature 4: Solid side panel covers and front brush bars to help protect you from passing brush.
Safety Feature 5: Engine Kill switch on dash board. If driver pushes the red button on the instrument panel, the engine shuts down and the go kart rolls to a stop.
Safety Feature 6: Low Center of Gravity.
Safety Feature 7: Extra large disc brake - for faster stopping.
Rear luggage rack: 35"x 16"x 6" (width x length x height)

Colors available: usually Blue, Red, Yellow, Black.
Skid Plate: Protective skid plate under the rear disc brake and chain. Without this, if a large rock passes between the front tires, it can easily destroy the rear disc brakes and sprocket/chain drive. Cheaper go-karts do not have this.
Chain Drive: Our reinforced double-width chain is 1.5" wide. Our competition's is 0.75" wide.
Clearance: Rear Axle=10" , front lip=12" Gound clearance depends on tire size. Our tires are 21" in the front, the competition's are 19"
Weight of unit: 650 pounds
Weight Capacity: 704 pounds (Manufacturer's allowable rider weight)
Nylon Sun Shade Cover: Shade from the sun and rain that covers the top of the unit. Many cheaper go karts do not have this.
Assembly: Go-karts are completely assembled at the factory and tested on various machines by quality control technicians. After testing, the Wheels (attached to tires), fenders, roll bars, seats, rear luggage rack and gas tank are disassembled for shipping purposes and will have to be reassembled by you. Of course no wiring or mounting of the engine is required. It usually takes about 4-5 hours. You should have someone that is mechanically minded to assist you. Remember, if you have any problems you can call our service techs for help.
